The dishwasher is a remarkable work that entertwines fiction and non-fiction similar in form to the Galilean Dialogue. It is a story of a blind-deaf-mute dishwasher, discovering a universe within his mind and a homeless schizophrenic in search of the meaning of meaning. Remarkably these two individuals can somehow communicate with each other and their universe is a rich universe that reaches deep into every aspect of our being from the origins and nature of the universe to the depths of the human psyche exploring the internal universe with twisting metaphors. A work that is deep, yet entertaining, intriguing, and informative. Hopefully we will not have to wait long for Mr. Rubinstein to release this work after twenty years of working in silence and anonymity. |
